Sorry if you were enjoying my posts before I disappeared off the planet! I’m currently attempting to revise for my exams. When I get started, I will incorporate that into my blog posts so you should see some nice interesting blogs about miRNA and heart disease, I promise.

I was watching a film with the honourable Mr. Justin Timberlake in yesterday, and I realised something. I really do not find him attractive. Sure, I never have, but before I just chalked it up to him being handsome in a generic way; just “not my type”. This time I really didn’t find him attractive, and I actually kind of thought he looked kinda foetal. So why do I feel this way?
Are Fat People Stupid?

At work recently I was asked to describe the links between obesity and (impaired) cognitive function. Before researching it, I wasn’t aware that there were any links, but surprisingly there is a fairly large amount of research on overweight people and their IQ. What is not clear, however, is if people with ‘poorer integrative mental processes’ have this affliction because they are overweight, or they are overweight because of their impaired mental function.
